Carlo Risoli was schooled locally in Southgate, and qualified from University College Hospital in central London in 1988 with the bachelor of dental surgery degree ( B.D.S. LOND. ). In 1989 he obtained the further qualification - licentiate of dental surgery ( L.D.S R.C.S ) from the Royal College of surgeons of England.

On qualifying Carlo Risoli worked locally in Winchmore Hill, before moving to a six surgery practice in central London. Here he honed his technical skills, and gained a fine appreciation of cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry.

In 1996 he decided to work and serve his local community and acquired a 3 floor premises and converted it to a 3 surgery dental practice known as the Southgate Dental Practice.

When not busy at the practice Carlo Risoli, furthers his dental Knowledge by attending various postgraduate courses, with a special interest in restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry. His implant knowledge was further enhanced by a study trip to Boston where he studied under world renowned experts in the field. Carlo is a member of The association of dental implantology ADI.

When away from the dental world Carlo is kept busy by his young family. His wife Moneli,is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at a local Hospital. They have a young football mad boy and pony loving girl. Carlo’s hobbies include tennis, skiing and chess.

Haroula is a hygienist with many years of experience. She qualified with distinction in 1990 from the renowned Eastman Dental Hospital and was awarded the prestigious Eastman Nugent cup for gaining the highest marks in the final examinations for dental hygienists. Her main interests lie in treating advanced form of gum diseases, and she has worked in collaboration with periodontal specialists on many cases.

The dental nurses and reception staff

It is essential to have loyal reliable staff and we have been fortunate to achieve this at our practice.

Nicole Vincent is our head nurse and has been dental nursing since 1991. She worked with Dr Risoli in his previous surgery prior to joining him when he set up the practice back in 1996.

Nicole is responsible for ensuring that cross infection and disinfection policies are carried out to the highest of standards. She also has the duties of training new nursing staff.

Valerie Lee is our main receptionist, and has been with us for three years now. She qualified as a dental nurse in 1993, and worked for a number of years at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute. Her extensive dental nursing experience means she can answer most of the difficult technical questions that are sometimes posed at the reception desk.

Kim, Jowita and Maria are the others who make up the hard working nursing and reception staff at the southgate dental practice
